Message: I've visited Simms on multiple occasions because they are very close to my home so it's convenient and one of their employees is my neighbor. That doesn't in any way sway my reviews though as anyone that knows me can tell you that I call it like I see it. I've always found exactly what I needed at this store. They greet you as if your family. I don't usually ask for a veterans discount when I go in a store but the cashier here saw that I was wearing a cap that had USAF on it and asked for my VA card and applied the discount. I went to 2 of the big name stores that offer veterans discounts and found out that the discount doesn't apply to lumber? Go figure.. they are lumber companies. Very friendly atmosphere at this store, they treat you with respect, prices are reasonable, store is always clean. They will get all of my business!

Message: Unlike some other reviewers, I had a great experience at Simms Lumber. Ace Hardware did not have what I needed and an employee suggested I try Simms. They had what I needed and two helpful employees helped me find each of them. Checkout lady was not there when I came up because she was helping someone find a product, but came up in less than a minute. When I had the "where is it" look on my face, employees came towards me to offer help instead of avoiding me and running away like often happens in the two national chains. This is my new first stop for home repair items.
